Tour de France Excitement Begins in Marmaris

This weekend, Marmaris will host not only an international cycling event but also the excitement of sport, healthy living, tourism, and moving together.

Visa Maximiles Black L’Étape Marmaris by Tour de France, the official event of the world's most prestigious cycling organization Tour de France aimed at amateur athletes, will be held for the first time in Marmaris on Sunday, June 7.

Before the big race, the Public Ride will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, at 19 May Youth Square. The event will bring cycling enthusiasts, families, children, and all Marmaris residents together with the Tour de France atmosphere.

6.6 Kilometer Family-Friendly Course

The Public Ride, held on an approximately 6.6-kilometer family-friendly course, will pass through important streets of Marmaris, adding color and movement to the city.

The Public Ride will start from Atatürk Street. Then, the route will follow Ulusal Egemenlik Street, Mustafa Kemal Paşa Boulevard, Yunus Nadi Street, and Kemal Seyfettin Elgin Boulevard. The ride will end back at the starting point, 19 May Youth Square.

Participation in the event is free, and cyclists of all ages can take part. Marmaris residents and visitors will closely experience the spirit of Tour de France while also being part of a healthy lifestyle and cycling culture.

The Expo Area Will Be Open for Three Days

Within the scope of L’Étape Marmaris by Tour de France, an Expo Area will be set up at 19 May Youth Square on June 5-6-7.

In the area open for three days, athletes, families, and visitors will come together. Experience zones reflecting the spirit of Tour de France, interactive activities, stage shows, surprise gifts, and booths of various brands will await visitors.

The Expo Area will not limit the race excitement to athletes only but will offer the people of Marmaris and guests to the city a festival-like experience.

Marmaris Will Stand Out with Sports and Tourism

Marmaris, notable for its nature, coastline, city center, and tourism infrastructure, will become a focus of attention for cyclists on both national and international scales thanks to the organization. The event will contribute both to spreading sports culture in the district and to tourism activity.
