Marmaris Municipality Cleaning Affairs Directorate teams started cleaning work in stream beds throughout the district. Algae, mud, and household waste causing bad odor and visual pollution are being cleaned during the work.

Marmaris Municipality continues its environmental cleaning efforts with the increased population density during the summer months. Cleaning Affairs Directorate teams carry out comprehensive cleaning work not only in the central neighborhoods but also in the stream beds located in rural areas.

In the work carried out by the teams, accumulated algae and mud in the stream beds are cleaned, while household waste carelessly left in the environment is also removed from the area. The cleaning aims to give the streams a healthier and cleaner appearance.

Officials reported that stream cleaning will continue routinely within the program determined across the district in order to protect environmental health and prevent negative issues such as bad odors.
