11 Thousand Juvenile Sea Bass Released into the Sea in Marmaris
An important study was carried out in Marmaris to increase the fish population in the seas. Within the scope of the project carried out by the Marmaris District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry under the coordination of the Muğla Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, 11 thousand juvenile sea bass were released into the sea.
In an event aimed at strengthening the marine ecosystem and supporting sustainable fishing, 11 thousand juvenile sea bass were released into their natural habitats. The study was carried out in cooperation between the Muğla Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and the Marmaris District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry.
Marmaris District Agriculture and Forestry Director Nejmettin Kaya stated that such efforts are very important for the protection of fish stocks in the seas and their transfer to future generations, and he expressed that projects aimed at the sustainable use of natural resources will continue.
Kaya emphasized that the juvenile sea bass released into the sea will grow and strengthen the fish population in the region, providing significant long-term contributions both to the marine ecosystem and fishing activities.
Thanks to regularly conducted fish stocking activities every year, the protection of biological diversity along the shores of Marmaris and the support of natural life are aimed, while it was noted that it is very important for citizens to act sensitively about protecting the seas.
The event where 11 thousand juvenile sea bass were released into the sea was considered an important part of sustainable fishing and environmental protection efforts in Marmaris.
