Young pianist from Marmaris took first place in Sarajevo

Derin Demirtaş, a 7th-grade student majoring in Piano at the Music and Ballet Middle School, State Conservatory of Aydın Adnan Menderes University (ADÜ), living in Marmaris district of Muğla, was chosen as the most successful name in her age category by an international jury with her successful performance. She started ballet training at the age of 4.

Derin Demirtaş's artistic journey took a new direction when her ballet teacher noticed her musical talent. Thanks to her strong musical ear, the young talent began piano training at about 9 years old and achieved international success in a short time with her disciplined efforts and determination.

After her success in Sarajevo, Derin Demirtaş shared her feelings, saying that winning the first prize gave her great happiness and pride. The young pianist, who continues her studies under the counseling of Instructor Elif Yazgan, thanked her teacher who contributed to her success, stating, "My teacher always believed in me, worked patiently with me, and supported me at every stage. I am also grateful to my family and school for their support. From now on, I will continue to work to represent my country in the best way."

The young pianist Derin Demirtaş, who became the pride of both Marmaris and Turkey with her first place on the international platform, added another success to her achievements in music and emphasized that more successes will follow.
