District Governor Akkaya at the Fire Zone

While intervention by air and land continues on the fire that started in a house in Çiftlik Neighborhood of Fethiye and spread to the forest area in a short time, Fethiye District Governor Fatih Akkaya and District Police Chief Salih Murat Kara inspected the operations on-site and received information from the teams.

A fire that started in a house in Fethiye district of Muğla quickly spread to the surrounding forest area. While intervention by air and land continues, the Fethiye protocol also followed the operations on-site.

According to the information obtained, the fire that started for an undetermined reason in a house located on 232nd Street in Çiftlik Neighborhood spread to the surrounding forest area due to the effect of the wind.

Upon notification, the Muğla Regional Directorate of Forestry, firefighters, and other support teams were dispatched to the area. Firefighting efforts continue uninterruptedly both by air and land to bring the fire under control and prevent the flames from spreading to larger areas.

District Governor Akkaya and Police Chief Kara received information from the teams working in the area about the latest status of the fire and closely monitored the ongoing operations.

The teams continue their work to bring the fire under control and eliminate risks in the nearby residential areas and forested regions.
