Scorching heat is going away! The weather will cool down in Muğla too
According to the latest evaluations by the General Directorate of Meteorology, Turkey is entering the influence of a new weather system starting today. Temperatures will also drop throughout Muğla province.
Warnings also came one after another from the Istanbul Governorship and AKOM. It was stated that rainy weather will be effective from the morning hours.
In Turkey, which is under the influence of a heat wave, the weather is turning around. Thunderstorms will be effective in many provinces over the weekend.
TEMPERATURES WILL DROP BY 5-7 DEGREES
Temperatures, which have been above seasonal normals, will start to decrease from today.
In Istanbul, where the temperature felt like 40 degrees in previous days, thunderstorms will be effective today. Temperatures will drop to as low as 27 degrees.
TEMPERATURES WILL ALSO DROP IN MUĞLA
The air temperature in Muğla will also noticeably drop from today. It is estimated to fall from 35-36 degrees to 23-33 degrees in some districts.
According to the latest forecasts, the highest air temperature today is expected to be 36 in Fethiye, 34 in Bodrum, 35 in Marmaris, 39 in Köyceğiz, Ortaca, Seydikemer and Milas, 33 in Datça, and 37 degrees in Dalaman.
METEOROLOGICAL OUTLOOK
According to the latest assessments by the General Directorate of Meteorology: northern, interior and western parts of our country will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy in places; Marmara, Northern Aegean, northern Eastern Anatolia, Eastern Black Sea, Central Black Sea coasts, the Taurus region in the Mediterranean Region, as well as Osmaniye, the west of Hatay, Düzce, Zonguldak, and the surroundings of Bartın will experience local showers and thunderstorm showers; other places are expected to be mostly clear to slightly cloudy. Showers are expected to be locally strong around Istanbul, southern Tekirdağ and Kırklareli, as well as around eastern Erzurum, Kars and Ardahan.
TEMPERATURE: Expected to decrease slightly in northwest and eastern parts; no significant change expected elsewhere.
WIND: Generally from north and northeast, light to occasionally moderate from southern directions in southern parts, and strong winds from western directions around Hatay are expected.
