Youth Met History at Stratonikeia and Lagina
During the cultural trip organized in Yatağan, young people visited the ancient cities of Stratonikeia and Lagina, meeting history and art.
In Muğla's Yatağan district, a culture and history trip was organized for young people within the scope of the "Year of Youth" activities.
Within the scope of the "Stratonikeia Culture and History Trip Program" organized by the Kotekli Youth Center teams affiliated with the Menteşe Youth and Sports District Directorate, young people had the opportunity to see the historical and cultural values of the region on site.
In the program, the young people toured the ancient city of Stratonikeia, known as one of the world's largest marble cities, and the sacred area of Lagina Ancient City accompanied by expert guides. Participants witnessing history on the stone streets of the ancient cities received information about the region's past.
As part of the cultural tour, the historic Belen Coffeehouse and Gevenes Bridge were also visited. The program, which aims for young people to recognize cultural heritage on-site and learn by experience, continued with colorful activities.
One of the highlights of the trip was the painting event held in the atmosphere of the ancient city. In this event carried out under the shadow of historical ruins, young people experienced history and art together.
The program ended after the participants took commemorative photos.
