Congestion is increasing in Fethiye, traffic police tighten inspections
On the 4th day of Eid al-Adha, traffic congestion in Fethiye has been effective since the early morning hours. While there is heavy vehicle traffic on the route extending from the district governor's office building to Karagözler Neighborhood, traffic police teams continue uninterrupted inspections of bus stop occupations and illegal parking in the city center.
Congestion continues on the last day of Eid al-Adha in Fethiye. In the district, where the busy days of the season are experienced, the mobility created by local and foreign tourists as well as visitors who prefer the region for the holiday reflects on city center traffic.
Vehicle density was observed on the route extending from the Fethiye District Governorship in the early morning hours towards Karagözler Neighborhood. Especially on the main arteries in the city center, traffic flow was seen to slow down from time to time, and drivers had to proceed carefully due to the congestion.
Along with rising temperatures, the mobility created by citizens and tourists heading to coastal areas and tourist spots increased vehicle circulation in the city center. The vehicle traffic directed to the Marina area, Karagözler, Çalış Beach, and its surroundings caused the congestion to continue throughout the day.
Meanwhile, the Traffic Bureau Directorate teams of the Fethiye District Police Department continued their inspections uninterruptedly during the holiday period. Traffic teams working in the city center conducted controls especially at bus stops used by public transportation vehicles and carried out inspections against stop occupations.
The teams also intensified inspections targeting illegal parking practices adversely affecting traffic flow in the city center. Necessary warnings were given to drivers during checks at busy traffic points, and legal procedures were applied for vehicles parked contrary to the rules.
