Permit Certificate Reminder for Businesses Broadcasting Music in Fethiye

Fethiye Municipality Climate Change and Zero Waste Directorate made important warnings to businesses broadcasting music about environmental noise and permit processes.

In the information letter sent to the Fethiye Chamber of Commerce and Industry, it was stated that businesses broadcasting music must fulfill their legal obligations under Law No. 2872 on Environment and the Environmental Noise Control Regulation. The letter reminded that businesses broadcasting music by means such as live music, electronic sound amplification systems, and similar methods must obtain a "Music Broadcast Permit Certificate."

It was emphasized that music broadcasts must end by 24:00 in businesses adjacent to or near residential and accommodation areas, while restrictions on the use of sound and light that can be heard or seen from the beach exist in coastal areas located in sea turtle nesting zones between May 15 and September 15, from 20:00 to 05:00.

The statement noted that businesses operating without a Music Broadcast Permit Certificate will be subject to an administrative fine of 419,509 lira for the year 2026, and if the violation occurs within the boundaries of the Special Environmental Protection Area, the penalty can be doubled up to 839,018 lira.

It was underlined that all businesses broadcasting music, especially bars, pubs, casinos, nightclubs, tavernas, coffeehouses, reading lounges, cafes, cafeterias, restaurants, banquet halls, entertainment venues, hotels, and accommodation facilities, must operate in compliance with the relevant legislation, and it is important for businesses to complete the necessary permit documents to avoid any administrative sanctions.
