'National Match' event in Fethiye canceled due to YKS
Fethiye Mayor Alim Karaca announced that the mass viewing event planned for the Turkey–Paraguay national match to be played on the morning of Saturday, June 20, has been canceled due to the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) taking place on the same day.
The event planned by Fethiye Municipality to watch the Turkey–Paraguay match to be played on Saturday, June 20 together with the citizens has been canceled. In a statement by Fethiye Mayor Alim Karaca, it was announced that the event will not be held due to the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) to be conducted on the same day. Karaca emphasized that it is a shared responsibility of everyone to provide an appropriate environment for young people to reap the rewards of their efforts, drawing attention to the exam process that millions of students have prepared for with great effort.
In his statement, Karaca sent his best wishes to approximately 2.4 million students who will take the exam and asked citizens to show the necessary sensitivity for the students and their families. Mayor Karaca stated, "Social sensitivity is very important to ensure that our young people, who are the guarantee of our future, can take their exams in the healthiest way possible. For this reason, we have decided to cancel the national match viewing event we planned."
Meanwhile, Karaca wished success to the A National Football Team, which will take the field wearing the crescent-star jersey, against Paraguay, and expressed his belief that the national team will represent the country in the best way.
