Scorching heat in Fethiye: Thermometers showed 41 degrees
The air temperature in Fethiye reached 41 degrees. Due to the scorching heat, citizens turned to shaded areas, while it was observed that the density on streets and avenues decreased during the hottest hours of the day.
The summer season is being felt more and more each day in Fethiye. While thermometers showed 41 degrees in the district, the high temperature also affected daily life. Due to the hot air, which increased its effect from noon onwards, citizens preferred to spend time in cool and shaded areas. Especially squares, parks, and coastal areas attracted intense interest with tree shades and enclosed spaces. It was observed that human activity on streets and avenues decreased during the hottest hours of the day.
With the start of the summer season, the population of Fethiye increased, and the hot weather is expected to continue in the upcoming days; experts especially warn the elderly, people with chronic illnesses, and children not to stay directly under the sun between 11:00 and 16:00, which are the hottest hours of the day.
