Fethiye District Governor Fatih Akkaya Celebrated the 44th Anniversary of the Coast Guard

Fethiye District Governor Fatih Akkaya released a congratulatory message on the 44th anniversary of the Coast Guard Command. Governor Akkaya stated that the Coast Guard Command, which undertakes a critical role in ensuring safety at sea, has become one of Turkey’s most important security institutions with its developing technological infrastructure and increasing faith and capabilities since its establishment.

Governor Fatih Akkaya noted that the Coast Guard Command has continuously improved its structure, facilities, and capabilities since its foundation, saying, “Our Coast Guard Command, working non-stop to elevate its development goals to higher levels based on planned strategies rooted in reason and science and to increase operational effectiveness, continues swiftly to steer its developmental potential with projects that will carry it into the Turkey Century.”

Emphasizing that the Coast Guard Command is the only general law enforcement force responsible for the safety and security of the Blue Homeland, Akkaya said, “Our command, which continuously increases its capacity and performance to deliver the highest quality service in the shortest time, works 24/7 without interruption in a responsibility area broader than our country’s surface area, gaining the trust and support of our nation.” He highlighted that the command successfully carries out its duties in coordination with other law enforcement forces. “Our Command, which flawlessly and continuously performs the duties assigned to it by law in coordination with other law enforcement institutions, continues its work with awareness of the responsibility it carries to turn the wealth of our seas, which will be the living spaces of future millennia, into gains in line with our national interests, fully aware of the opportunities brought by our age,” he said.

At the end of his message, District Governor Fatih Akkaya commemorated martyrs and veterans with mercy and gratitude, stating, “I commemorate with mercy and gratitude all our martyrs and veterans who bestowed our homeland upon us, especially the Founder of our Republic, Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and his comrades in arms, and I congratulate the 44th anniversary of the Coast Guard Command with my best wishes.”
