According to the latest weather forecast report from the General Directorate of Meteorology, in Muğla's Fethiye district, partly cloudy and hot weather will continue on Monday, July 6, 2026. While the air temperature in the district is expected to rise up to 34 degrees, authorities warned to be especially cautious against heatstroke during midday hours.
According to meteorological data, the air temperature in Fethiye will hover around 26 degrees in the morning and rise up to 34 degrees in the later hours of the day. In the district where mostly clear skies will dominate, it is estimated that the temperature felt due to high humidity may be at higher levels.
Heatstroke Warning
Meteorology experts recommend avoiding staying outdoors for long periods between 11:00 and 16:00 when the sun's rays come at a direct angle.
It is emphasized that the elderly, children, citizens with chronic illnesses, and those working outdoors should be careful against heatstroke. Drinking plenty of water, preferring light-colored clothing, and using sun protection products are advised.
Attention to Forest Fire Risk
Authorities drew attention to the fact that high temperatures and low humidity increase the risk of forest fires and requested citizens not to light fires in forested areas or leave materials that could cause fires such as cigarette butts and glass bottles in nature.
