According to the latest weather forecast report from the General Directorate of Meteorology, clear and hot weather will continue to affect the Fethiye district of Muğla on Thursday, July 2, 2026. While the temperature is expected to rise up to 34 degrees during the day in the district, experts warned to be cautious especially during noon due to the hot weather.
According to meteorological data, the air temperature in Fethiye will hover around 25 degrees in the morning and increase from noon onwards, reaching 34 degrees. It is assessed that the felt temperature could be higher due to the clear sky and high humidity.
While meteorology states that weather conditions are favorable for sea and outdoor activities, it also draws attention to avoid staying under the sun for long periods due to high temperatures.
Experts Warn Against Sunstroke
Experts recommend avoiding being outdoors unnecessarily between 11:00 and 16:00, when the sun rays are most intense.
Particularly, elderly people, children, citizens with chronic illnesses, and those working outdoors are advised to take precautions against heat stroke, including drinking plenty of water, wearing light-colored clothes, and using sun protection products.
Officials also reminded that the risk of forest fires increases with high temperatures and called for not lighting fires in forested areas and avoiding behaviors that could cause fires.
