Lavender harvest by Fethiye Municipality
The harvest was carried out with the participation of citizens in the lavender garden established by Fethiye Municipality in Yeşilüzümlü Neighborhood.
The harvest of this year was carried out with intense participation in the lavender garden created by Fethiye Municipality in Yeşilüzümlü Neighborhood. The harvest of lavender, savory, and rosemary plants produced by the municipality took place with the participation of citizens, creating colorful scenes.
Fethiye Municipality Deputy Mayor Metin Sevinç, Lycia Women's Cooperative President Çiğdem Karaca, deputy mayors, municipal staff, and many citizens attended the harvest event. To facilitate easy access for citizens to the event, a free bus was provided by Fethiye Municipality at 3:00 PM.
During the harvest, songs performed by municipal artists added color to the event, and participants enjoyed pleasant moments among the fragrant lavenders. Citizens took plenty of photos in the purple lavender fields, experiencing the harvest and spending a day closely connected with nature.
Speaking at the event, Fethiye Municipality Deputy Mayor Sabri Oğuz Bolelli said, "We will increase aromatic plants in Yeşilüzümlü. We started with lavender and continued with savory and rosemary. We are carrying out the 5th harvest. We thank all citizens who participated today and made this beautiful event possible."
