Fethiye Municipal Council Meets on July 1: Agenda Includes Park, Street Names, New Fee Schedule, and Donated Vehicle
Fethiye Municipal Council will hold its regular July meeting on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. The agenda includes many important topics ranging from park and street naming to the new revenue schedule, acceptance of a vehicle donated by the Turkish Municipalities Union, and cadastral studies.
Fethiye Municipality announced that the regular meeting of the Municipal Council for July 2026 will be held on Wednesday, July 1 at 14:00 in the Fethiye Municipality Council Hall.
After reading the summary of June council decisions at the meeting, various important agenda items will be discussed and resolved.
The name Yusuf Ziya Kocagil was proposed for the park in Babataşı
One of the agenda items is the proposal to name the green space located at 724/2 Street in Babataşı Neighborhood as "TBB. Alb. Dr. Yusuf Ziya Kocagil Park." The proposal will be submitted to the council members for evaluation.
New fee schedule for marketplaces
According to the proposal from the Financial Services Directorate, new revenue items related to the organization, control, and cleaning services of various markets carried out by the Police Directorate are planned to be added to the 2026 fee schedule, which is also on the council agenda.
Discussion on the fire truck donated by the Turkish Municipalities Union
The necessary council decision will be made for the 2026 model 15-ton capacity water tanker (fire truck) donated to Fethiye Municipality by the Turkish Municipalities Union. Council approval will be requested for registering the vehicle in the municipal inventory and completing notary procedures.
Authority for the use of the forest road to be given to the Mayor
Within the scope of the proposal prepared by the Directorate of Public Works, the issue of granting the authority to the Mayor for handling procedures related to the use rights of the transportation road located within forest boundaries in Nif Neighborhood will be submitted to the council members for voting.
Cadastral experts to be evaluated
The commission report concerning the experts who will take part in cadastral studies to be conducted in Cumhuriyet, Tuzla, Babataşı, Cami, Yeni Mahalle, Çatalarık, and Karagedik neighborhoods will also be discussed. After completing the missing documents, the prepared report will be submitted for the council's approval.
Rafet Tuna's name to be given to a street
Additionally, in the July meeting, the commission report regarding the proposal to name 546 Street in Tuzla Neighborhood after the late Rafet Tuna, who served as the headman of Cumhuriyet Neighborhood for many years, will be evaluated.
The decisions to be made at the July meeting of the Fethiye Municipal Council are expected to include important regulations regarding municipal services, infrastructure works, and the city's memory in the district.
