They celebrated Maritime and Cabotage Day at the bottom of the sea

A group of divers in Fethiye district of Muğla celebrated July 1 Maritime and Cabotage Day by unfurling the Turkish flag at the bottom of the sea.

Divers Önder Diktaş, Kaan Günay, Mustafa Dayar, and Mahmud Ekilen from a diving center in the district conducted a dive to 5 meters in Dalyan Bay.

One diver held up a banner that read "Happy 1st of July Maritime and Cabotage Day on the 100th Anniversary of Cabotage." Meanwhile, another diver unfurled the Turkish flag.

Önder Diktaş, a 2-star instructor at the diving school, said to reporters that it is everyone’s duty to value the seas and protect the blue homeland.

Stating that they celebrated Maritime and Cabotage Day by diving in a beautiful bay, Diktaş said, "At a special spot in Fethiye, we shared our holiday joy in every shade of blue."
