Çökertme Fire Initial Response Team Building Opened
In Çökertme, which is among the regions affected by the large forest fires in Muğla in 2021, an important investment that will strengthen the early fire response capacity has been realized. The Çökertme Fire Initial Response Team Building, constructed by Yeniköy Kemerköy Energy, was opened with a ceremony.
Within the scope of the work carried out under the coordination of the Milas Forest Management, the building brings contributions to the first response teams to perform their duties more effectively and quickly during the fire season. The facility, with its modern structure improving working conditions for the teams, has strategic importance especially in terms of rapid access to forested areas around Çökertme, Bozbük, Kazıklı, Türkevleri and its surroundings.
Located in the region affected by the large forest fires in Muğla in 2021, the Çökertme Fire Initial Response Team Building will be one of the critical centers for early intervention in possible fires and controlling fires before they grow. With this facility, it is aimed to increase the region's preparedness capacity against fires and to support the operational strength of the teams.
Emre Ünal: "The First Minutes are Vital"
Milas Forest Manager Emre Ünal emphasized that early intervention is decisive in combating forest fires. Highlighting that the first minutes in fires carry great importance, Ünal said, "In forest fires, the first minutes constitute the most critical time frame in preventing the fire from spreading. Therefore, it is very important for our teams working in the field to have a strong infrastructure. With the construction of the Çökertme Fire Initial Response Team Building, the working conditions of our teams have significantly improved. This center will contribute to the teams serving in our region during the fire season to be organized more effectively. We thank Yeniköy Kemerköy Energy for this meaningful support and believe that public-private sector cooperation will provide significant contributions to the protection of our forests."

Burak Işık: "Being Prepared for Disasters is Our Shared Responsibility"
Yeniköy Kemerköy Energy Deputy General Manager Burak Işık stated that as a company, they attach importance to projects providing social benefits in the regions where they operate. Işık said, "Considering that the large fires in 2021 could recur, we place great importance on establishing a stronger preparation infrastructure against fires.
