Bodrum's infrastructure priorities were discussed at the participatory budget meeting

The final Participatory Budget Meeting organized across the province by the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Water and Sewerage Administration General Directorate was held in Bodrum.

The meeting was attended by Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras, Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, MUSKİ General Manager Yılmaz Şengül, neighborhood headmen, representatives of non-governmental organizations, and citizens.

At the meeting, the needs regarding Bodrum's drinking water and sewage infrastructure and the planned investments to be implemented in the upcoming period were discussed.

Renewal of transmission lines was brought to the agenda

The renewal of drinking water transmission lines, which frequently break down in the district, the establishment of alternative water sources, and the planned infrastructure and superstructure works were among the priority agenda items of the meeting.

Participants expressed the infrastructure problems they encountered in their neighborhoods and their solution suggestions. MUSKİ officials recorded the submitted requests and suggestions for evaluation in the investment program.

"We persistently continue our investments"

Speaking at the meeting, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras stated that efforts to strengthen Bodrum's drinking water infrastructure are ongoing.

Aras said, "We have largely solved Bodrum's drinking water problems in the last two years. We continue working without making any excuses in infrastructure, and we persistently continue our investments for Bodrum's future."

With meetings held under the participatory budget approach, it is aimed to determine the needs of districts directly in line with citizens' opinions and to provide public contribution to investment planning.
