Inspection of Sidewalk and Road Occupation in Bodrum

Bodrum Municipality Police Department and Bodrum District Police Department teams started inspections to ensure the orderly and safe use of public areas throughout the district. Tables, chairs, umbrellas, totems, and advertisement boards that were not removed despite warnings were taken away from the area to be entrusted.

Bodrum Municipality Police Department and Bodrum District Police Department teams began their inspection and regulation efforts across the district on Tuesday, July 7.

On the first day of the efforts to ensure the orderly and safe use of public areas in the city, inspections were carried out on Atatürk, Neyzen Tevfik, Cafer Paşa, and Turgutreis streets in central Bodrum.

Many Neighborhoods and Streets Inspected

As part of the inspections, applications were also made on Konacık Neighborhood Atatürk Boulevard, Yahşi Neighborhood Kargı Street and Taşlıburun Street and Ercan Yangöz Street, Bitez Neighborhood Adliye and Cumhuriyet streets.

The teams issued warnings to businesses and concerned parties regarding materials occupying sidewalks and public areas.

Occupied Materials Removed from the Area

After the warnings given within the scope of the application, some of the occupied materials were removed from their locations by their owners through their own means.

Tables, chairs, umbrellas, totems, advertisement boards, barrels, and pots that were not removed despite warnings were loaded onto vehicles belonging to the Support Services and Cleaning Affairs directorates and removed from the area to be entrusted.

Penalties for Motor Users

Punitive actions were also taken against motor users who engaged in improper parking and sidewalk occupation during the inspections.

While comprehensive inspection and regulation efforts continue throughout Bodrum during the day, it was stated that the work would also continue on Wednesday, July 8.
