Occupation Inspection in Bodrum: Items Taken into Custody

During occupation inspections conducted in four neighborhoods in Bodrum, items were taken into custody, and some motorcycle drivers were fined.

Teams from Bodrum Municipality Police Department and Bodrum District Police Department continued inspection and occupation removal efforts across the district in the neighborhoods of Gümbet, Gölköy, Güvercinlik, and Mumcular. Items that were not removed despite warnings were confiscated, and some motorcycle drivers violating improper parking and sidewalk occupation rules were penalized.

Inspections initiated to regulate pedestrian and vehicle traffic and ensure safe use of public spaces in Bodrum were carried out on Friday, July 10, in different neighborhoods.

Teams conducted inspections in Gümbet Neighborhood at Gümbet Junction, Turgutreis Street, Hoca Ahmet Yesevi Street, İsmet İnönü Street, Adnan Menderes Street, Zengin Hüseyin Street, and Ayaz Street.

Work was conducted on Atatürk Street and the Türkbükü coast in Gölköy Neighborhood; 1st Coastal Road, 2nd Coastal Road, 19 May Street, and Bodrum-Güvercinlik road in Güvercinlik Neighborhood. Inspections in Mumcular Neighborhood were carried out on Menderes Boulevard.

Items not removed despite warnings were collected

During inspections, storeowners and residents occupying public areas were warned to remove their equipment. Items that were not removed despite warnings were taken from the area by vehicles affiliated with Bodrum Municipality Support Services and Cleaning Affairs Directorates and brought into custody.

In this context, some motorcycle drivers who parked improperly and occupied sidewalks were also subject to penalties.

Bodrum Municipality announced that inspection and occupation removal efforts would continue district-wide throughout the year.
