10th International Jazz Festival started in Bodrum
The 10th International Bodrum Jazz Festival, held in the Bodrum district of Muğla, started with the plaque ceremony and opening concert.
Organized by the Jazz Association with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Bodrum Municipality, and Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, the 10th International Bodrum Jazz Festival meets music lovers in various venues across the Bodrum peninsula between June 15 - 28, 2026. The 14-day-long festival will include concerts, talks, and exhibition events.
The festival's plaque ceremony and opening concert were held at a hotel in Gümbet Neighborhood. At the ceremony attended by Bodrum Municipality Deputy Mayor Emel Çakaloğlu and numerous guests, appreciation packages were presented to institutions and organizations supporting the festival. A plaque of appreciation was also presented to the media sponsor Kent Media Group.
After the plaque ceremony, the Dilek Sert Erdoğan Hammond Band feat. Yavuz Darıdere concert took place.
In a statement about the festival, Özlem Oktar Varoğlu, President of the Jazz Association and Festival Curator, said, "The Bodrum Jazz Festival has turned 10 years old. I believe it has become quite an experienced festival in the Bodrum Peninsula. We realize this festival as the Jazz Association with the participation and contributions of the entire Bodrum. All our efforts throughout the year are to bring Bodrum together with this beautiful festival. We have two good pieces of news on our 10th anniversary. One is; the Bodrum Jazz Festival received the EFFE Label and became one of Europe's notable festivals. The second; we joined the World Jazz Network, and next month in Sicily, they will give an award to us, the Bodrum Jazz Festival. We greet you with these news. And of course, we are very excited as always. We will be with you every evening until June 28 with a full, beautiful festival and program, in various places of Bodrum," she said.
