Bodrum Neighborhood Academy will increase the service power of headmen

Prepared in cooperation with the Bodrum Municipality Headmen Affairs Directorate and the Bodrum Headmen Association, the Bodrum Neighborhood Academy aims to improve the professional knowledge and equipment of headmen. The one-year program aims to make the services provided to citizens in neighborhoods more effective.

The academy will not be limited to administrative issues only. Topics that increase social awareness will also be included in the training schedule. Thus, it is expected that headmen will both participate more actively in local government processes and approach social problems encountered in neighborhoods more consciously.

Headmen conveyed priority problems of neighborhoods

At the meeting in the Herodotus Cultural Center, the headmen directly conveyed the prominent needs in neighborhoods to the relevant institution representatives. While demands, suggestions, and complaints from citizens were discussed, mutual information exchange was also made about ongoing works.

The participation of representatives from Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, Bodrum Municipality, AYDEM, and MUSKİ in the meeting ensured that solution processes were addressed with inter-institutional coordination. Evaluating infrastructure, service planning, and neighborhood-based needs at the same table made the role of headmen in the field more visible.

The training program includes law, first aid, and artificial intelligence

In the first program of the Bodrum Neighborhood Academy, an informative presentation was made about leukemia. The presentation explained the support provided to children under treatment and their families, ongoing activities, and the roles that headmen can take on during these processes.

During the one-year ongoing training, headmen will receive training from experts on topics such as Headmen Law, first aid, time and crisis management, Alzheimer's disease and communication with patients' relatives, sign language, artificial intelligence, and digital applications.
