On one side, fighting flames; on the other, heartwarming solidarity
While efforts to control the forest fire in Muğla's Seydikemer district continue uninterruptedly, examples of solidarity in the region warmed hearts. On one hand, forest workers, firefighters, and volunteers race against time against the flames, while on the other, citizens mobilized almost like a campaign to support teams working in the fire zone.
While extinguishing efforts continue on one side of the fire zone, on the other hand, voluntary support from citizens drew attention as one of the best examples of unity and solidarity in times of disaster. Citizens and volunteers coming from surrounding districts and neighborhoods delivered aid materials with their own means to meet the water, ayran, and food needs of the teams on duty. The support, which continued into the night after a tough struggle throughout the day, boosted the morale of the teams working at the fire site.

One of the volunteers who stated that they came to help from Fethiye and became a symbol of solidarity in the area said, "We brought everything we had from Fethiye, whatever we could get our hands on. May God accept it, may He be pleased with those who put in the effort. Today, until this is over, we will be here from morning till morning. We are trying to support as much as we can here. It's like an ant doing something, but as much as we can support them. Compared to what they are doing, what we do is nothing."

The volunteer citizen, emphasizing that there was a race against time all day to bring the flames under control, called on everyone to support the teams, saying, "The whole team has been trying to extinguish the fire since the morning, everyone mobilized. We have been trying to help as much as we can since the morning." (İHA)
