Chairman Ergene: “Bodrum deserves a higher quality of life”

Before the meeting, a dinner program was organized with the participation of neighborhood presidents, board members, and executive board members. In the meeting that started after the dinner program, the activities carried out in the neighborhoods, demands from the citizens, local problems, and field activities to be carried out in the upcoming term were evaluated.

AK Party Bodrum District Chairman Seha Ergene made the opening speech of the meeting, stating that neighborhood presidents are the party's most important representatives in the field and thanked all neighborhood presidents, board members, and executive members for their devoted work.

Ergene said, “The neighborhood president is my direct representative in that neighborhood. They are our most important comrades who hear our citizens' voices, listen to their demands, follow their problems, and deliver these to us. The party's success in every election, its strong presence in the field, and its place in hearts are behind the efforts, sacrifices, and sincerity of the organization members.”

Emphasizing that neighborhood presidents also have an important role in local governments, Ergene added, “Our neighborhood presidents not only represent our party but also are the voice of our neighborhoods. They convey citizens' expectations, problems they face, and solution requests to us in the most accurate way. The opinions and field observations of our neighborhood presidents who identify the needs of our neighborhoods on site are extremely valuable to us. We care about every development, problem, and demand experienced in our neighborhoods.”

“BODRUM DESERVES A HIGHER QUALITY OF LIFE”

Commenting on the future of Bodrum, Ergene stated that the district should attain a more livable structure and said: “Bodrum is one of the most important tourism centers of our country. However, we cannot ignore the problems that make the daily life of our citizens difficult. Bodrum deserves a more orderly, more planned, more livable, and higher quality life. We cannot accept that this beautiful district is always associated with infrastructure problems, endless works, and construction site images. We will work together for Bodrum to reach its true potential and for our citizens to receive the services they deserve. Our goal is not only to identify problems but also to connect the expectations of our citizens with solution-producing, service-focused, and project-based AK municipal management and provide Bodrum with the services it deserves.”

“WE HAVE FULL CONFIDENCE IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD PRESIDENTS, WE STAND BY THEM”

Ergene, stating that they will continue to be in the field with all levels of the organization, said, “Myself and the entire management team believe in our neighborhood presidents and openly express that we stand by them. You will convey the demands, expectations, and problems of our citizens in your neighborhoods to us, and we will follow up on them because a strong organization is one that hears the voice of the citizen and responds to that voice.

We will reach every citizen. We will knock on every door. We will listen to every tradesman's issue. We will stand by every young person, every woman, and every elder. AK Party's greatest strength is the heartfelt bond it forms with our nation. We will continue to work together to strengthen this bond further.”

Ergene also expressed his confidence in the board and executive board members: “We work in great harmony together with our management and executive boards. Each of our friends takes responsibility for Bodrum, works hard, and struggles. With this unity and sense of mission, we will continue to reach every neighborhood of Bodrum.”

During the meeting, Seha Ergene gave the floor to neighborhood presidents one by one, personally noting the demands, suggestions, and issues brought up by the citizens. He stated that he would follow up on every topic mentioned and that citizen requests would be closely monitored with relevant institutions.

The neighborhood presidents who spoke at the meeting expressed their satisfaction with the working approach set by AK Party Bodrum District Chairman Seha Ergene and stated that they would establish stronger communication with citizens in every neighborhood of Bodrum. The neighborhood presidents reiterated their support for Seha Ergene, emphasizing that they will continue to be active on the field with high motivation to further strengthen organizational activities.

The meeting, during which mutual consultations took place, ended after evaluating field activities for the upcoming term and planning organizational programs.
