The most notable announcement at the ceremony of the complex, which was opened to service with prayers, was the good news that an Olympic swimming pool, long awaited in Marmaris, would be established.
The opening ceremony was well attended, and Minister Osman Aşkın Bak was warmly welcomed by young athletes. After the ribbon-cutting, Minister Bak toured the Youth and Sports Complex, opened with prayers, inspected the training areas in the youth center, and received information from officials. Visiting training classrooms, multi-purpose halls, and social areas, Minister Bak stated that the center would make an important contribution to the development of the youth.
As part of the program, Minister Bak also visited the portable swimming pool in the facility and closely engaged with children and young athletes training there. "We Are Bringing a Giant Sports Investment to Marmaris"
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister Bak expressed his satisfaction with the modern sports complex provided to Marmaris, stating that the district has gained significant sports infrastructure with the youth center, renewed football field, and tennis courts.
Noting that he also visited the canoe and rowing camp center in Köyceğiz and the sports facilities in Ula during the Muğla program, Bak emphasized that the primary purpose of the investments is to connect young people with sports and keep them away from bad habits.
"We Are Preparing Youth for the Future with Sports"
Minister Bak stated that approximately 600 youth centers and over 300 youth offices provide service across Turkey, where young people get opportunities to develop themselves not only in sports but also in art, technology, and education.

An Olympic Swimming Pool Will Be Built in Marmaris
In the most important part of his speech, Minister Bak addressed the long-standing issue of a covered swimming pool in Marmaris, stating that the existing pool has been closed for use, and although an open swimming pool is temporarily serving, it is not sufficient.
Bak said he listened to the requests of young swimmers Zeynep and Ömer Dalkılıç, expressing, "Despite those who hinder your ability to engage in sports, we will build an Olympic swimming pool in Marmaris. Champions of Europe, the world, and the Olympics will come out from here."
Emphasizing that no one can prevent young people from doing sports, Bak announced that the Olympic swimming pool project will be realized as soon as possible.
