Message from Ali Somyürek on July 1 Maritime and Cabotage Day

Emphasizing that the maritime sector has strategic importance for Turkey's economic development, tourism, and trade, Somyürek celebrated Cabotage Day in his message and made evaluations regarding the maritime sector.

In his statement, Ali Somyürek said: "While PEGASTUR continues to contribute to maritime tourism with quality, trust, and sustainable service understanding; I will resolutely continue my efforts to protect the common values of our sector, to carry our maritime sector to a stronger future, and to be the voice of all our stakeholders."

Ali Somyürek expressed the following in his statement: “I celebrate July 1 Maritime and Cabotage Day, one of the most important symbols of our sovereignty and independence over our seas, with great pride and respect.

Maritime is one of the fundamental building blocks of our country's economic development, tourism, and trade. With this awareness, I thank all seafarers, captains, fishermen, and sector workers who add value to our seas and labor for the development of our country's maritime sector, and I wish them success in their work.

While PEGASTUR continues to contribute to maritime tourism with quality, trust, and sustainable service understanding; as a member of the Chamber of Maritime Commerce, I will also resolutely continue to work to protect our sector's common values, carry our maritime to a stronger future, and be the voice of all our stakeholders.
