Bottom Cleaning Done in Akyaka Kadın Azmağı

Muğla Metropolitan Municipality and Ula Municipality teams contributed to the protection of the region's ecological balance by removing wastes that threaten natural life from the water during the bottom cleaning work carried out in Akyaka Kadın Azmağı.

In cooperation with Muğla Metropolitan Municipality and Ula Municipality, bottom cleaning work was carried out in Kadın Azmağı, one of Akyaka's iconic natural areas.

In the work attended by Ula Mayor Mehmet Caner, wastes of human origin that accumulated in the azmak bed and threatened natural life were removed from the water and taken away from the region by the teams. During the cleaning, plastic, glass, metal and similar wastes were collected, and an important study was carried out to protect the water ecosystem.

Authorities emphasized that the wastes left in water resources not only cause visual pollution but also negatively affect water quality, damage natural habitats, and pose serious risks to living beings in the region.

The statement expressed that the protection of sensitive and unique natural areas such as Kadın Azmağı is possible not only through cleaning efforts carried out by institutions but also with the sensitivity that citizens show towards the environment.

Ula Municipality stated that, in coordination with Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, efforts to protect the district's natural beauties, water resources, and ecological values will continue, and invited all citizens to be sensitive about environmental protection.
