AK Party Seydikemer District Chairman Ali Büklü: 'July 15 is the Victory of Our Nation's Will and Unity'
AK Party Seydikemer District Chairman Ali Büklü issued a message on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
Chairman Ali Büklü stated that the night of July 15, 2016, is a unique heroic epic written in golden letters in history, where the Turkish nation defended its homeland, flag, and democracy at the cost of their lives.
Büklü included the following statements in his message:
"July 15 is not only a date on which a treacherous coup attempt was thwarted; it is a great revival epic written by our nation with a spirit of unity, togetherness, and brotherhood. On that dark night, under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, our dear nation took to the squares and taught the world an unforgettable lesson in democracy, standing against tanks and weapons with their faith, courage, and unshakable will."
Emphasizing that July 15 is the clearest indicator that the will of the nation cannot be imprisoned by any force, Büklü underlined that it is a shared responsibility to protect the legacy of the martyrs and the sacrifices of the veterans.
"Our duty today is to always keep the spirit of July 15 alive, to protect our national unity and solidarity, and to defend our state and democracy with the same determination. Our dear nation will continue to protect its homeland, flag, and independence today, tomorrow, and always," said Büklü, concluding his words as follows:
"On this occasion, I commemorate with mercy and gratitude all our beloved martyrs who gave their lives for the homeland, especially our July 15 martyrs, and I extend my thanks to our heroic veterans. May God never let our nation experience such betrayals again. Happy July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day."
