22nd Yatağan Festival Kicked Off with a Colorful Procession
The Traditional Youth, Culture, and Art Festival, organized for the 22nd time this year by the Yatağan Municipality, started with a procession march and folk dance performances. At the festival opening, Yatağan Mayor Mesut Günay invited all citizens to participate in the events.
The Traditional Youth, Culture, and Art Festival, made a tradition by the Yatağan Municipality, opened its doors for the 22nd time this year. The festival, hosted by Mayor Mesut Günay, began with a large-scale procession march.
The festival procession included participation from Muğla Provincial Chairman of the Republican People's Party Nail Kızıl, Yatağan District Chairman of the Republican People's Party Ozan Gürpınar, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality District Services Region 2 Department Head Erhan Çetinkaya, Muğla Provincial Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party Emrah Oltulu, Yatağan District Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party Osman Bulut, as well as numerous citizens.
Folk Dance Performances at the Amphitheater
Following the procession march, festival activities continued at Turan Özdemir Amphitheater. The ASFAD Folk Dance team and the Georgian KHELOVANI Folk Dance group performed on stage.
The performances by the teams received great applause from the audience. The colorful shows added special enthusiasm to the festival's first day.
Mayor Günay’s Message of Unity and Solidarity
Speaking at the festival opening, Yatağan Mayor Mesut Günay stated that culture and art are a powerful force that unites societies.
Mayor Günay expressed the following in his speech:
“We are very proud to reunite the unique unifying power of culture and art with our valued fellow citizens in the festival we are organizing for the 22nd time this year. I sincerely thank everyone who contributed to and supported the organization of this event that adds color to the social life of our city, especially Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras. Our festival excitement will continue at full speed in the coming days; I invite all our citizens to participate in our events and experience this wonderful enthusiasm together.”
It was reported that the festival activities in Yatağan will continue in the coming days with various cultural, artistic, and entertainment programs.
