Achieved His Dream at 17: Barber Apprentice from Marmaris Bought a Car with Tips
17-year-old Mehmetcan Aydın works as an apprentice under barber master Mehmet Karadağ in Marmaris. The young apprentice, who saved the tips he received from customers to purchase the car he dreamed of, received admiration for his achievement even before reaching the driving license age.
Mehmetcan Aydın, registered in the population of Yeşilçam Neighborhood in Ula district of Muğla, has been learning his profession beside barber master Mehmet Karadağ in Marmaris for several years. Instead of spending the tips he earned at his workplace, Mehmetcan preferred to save them, and he transformed his childhood dream of owning a car into reality through his patient savings.
Since he is only 17 years old and cannot yet obtain a driving license, the young apprentice said he is eagerly waiting for the day he will turn the required age and get behind the wheel.
"The only way to reach dreams is to work hard"
Expressing the pride of fulfilling his dream, Mehmetcan Aydın stated that hard work and patience are behind his success and said the following:
"There is only one way to reach your dreams; that is to work very hard. Since I was small, I have been apprenticing to learn the barber profession, which I love very much. I had dreamed of owning a car for a long time. Instead of spending my tips, I saved them and finally realized my dream. Currently, I am not old enough to get a driving license, but the first thing I will do when I am old enough is to get my license."

Barber master Mehmet Karadağ said that Mehmetcan is an exemplary apprentice with his diligence and dedication to his profession. Karadağ emphasized that despite his young age, Mehmetcan has never given up on his goal and added that it makes them proud that he became a car owner with his own effort.
