The Seydikemer Municipality Marriage Office witnessed a busy wedding day on 06.06.2026. On the day chosen by couples wishing to marry due to the special and meaningful date, a total of 33 couples tied the knot and united their lives.
Seydikemer Mayor B. Önder Akdenizli also attended some of the wedding ceremonies held throughout the day, sharing in the happiness of the young couples. Mayor Akdenizli, who conducted the marriage contracts, wished the couples a lifetime of health, peace, and happiness as he handed over their marriage certificates.
President Akdenizli, stating that the date 06.06.2026 will be remembered as an unforgettable day, said, “Today we are witnessing a very beautiful scene in our district. I am very pleased to share the excitement and happiness of the 33 couples who chose this special date to unite their lives. The family institution is the cornerstone of our society. I believe that homes built on love, respect, and tolerance strengthen both our families and our community. I wish all our couples a lifetime of health, peace, and happiness. May God make their homes prosperous and their unity and togetherness everlasting.”
Families and relatives attending the wedding ceremonies experienced the happiness of marrying on a special date, while the Seydikemer Municipality Marriage Office staff worked intensively throughout the day to ensure that the procedures were carried out flawlessly. Despite the intensity created by the special date, it was noted that all marriage procedures were carried out in a planned and orderly manner, and the date 06.06.2026 was recorded as one of the most meaningful days of life for many couples in Seydikemer.
The ground, play groups, and sports areas in Üçkuyular Park have been renewed. A safer living space was created for children and citizens.
The 'Barrier-Free Market' project was launched by the Muğla Branch of the Turkish Association of Disabled People to support the economic and social participation of disabled individuals and their families.
With the new regulation published in the Official Gazette, significant changes have been made to the norm staff system of municipalities. The regulation covering municipalities across Turkey also closely concerns the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality and its affiliated institutions. Director positions exceeding the norm staffing standards will be frozen, and when they become vacant, they will not be refilled and will be canceled by the decision of the municipal council.
TZOB General President Şemsi Bayraktar announced that 151 producers were affected by the forest fire in Seydikemer, and 2,128 decares of agricultural land and 45 houses were damaged.
In the Yanıklar Neighborhood of Fethiye district in Muğla, a fire in a 4x4 vehicle quickly spread to the forested area. Thanks to the rapid intervention of the fire brigade teams, the fire was brought under control before it grew, and cooling efforts with two helicopters continue in the area.
