Erkan Doğan at Seydikemer Yayla Çobanisa Festival: 'Yörük Culture Must Be Passed Down to Future Generations'

Also serving as the Vice President of the Beşkaza Culture and Solidarity Platform and the President of the Seydikemer Young Businesspeople Association, Erkan Doğan emphasized unity and solidarity in his statement at the festival area. Doğan stated that young people have important duties to preserve the shared cultural values of the Beşkazalar region and expressed the following: “Today at the Yayla Çobanisa Devecik Festivals, we are together with both our Yörüks and fellow townspeople. As Beşkazalar, we are united and in solidarity. We greatly value the preservation and continuation of this culture. As young people, we are carrying out efforts to pass this culture on to future generations. We must not lose our own culture.”

“Let the Yörüks Walk, We Will Run at Full Gallop Behind Them”

Expressing the determination of the youth in preserving Yörük culture, Doğan gave a supportive message with striking words. "As young people, we say this: 'Let the Yörüks walk, we will run at full gallop behind them.' Hopefully, these festivals will continue for many years." he said. He Thanked Those Who Contributed to the Organization of the Festival Erkan Doğan concluded his remarks by thanking all the individuals and institutions involved in the organization: "We thank our committee presidents, associations, stakeholders, and everyone who contributed to the organization of the festival."
