Important Investments Met with Citizens in Ortaca and Dalaman

While the groundbreaking ceremony of the Animal Shelter and Rehabilitation Center was held in Ortaca and the opening of the Sarıgerme Social Life Area was conducted, Erdoğan Karakuş Park was opened in Dalaman and the Kent Park Project, which is aimed to bring a new breath to the social life of the district, was introduced to the public. The programs were attended by Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras, Ortaca Mayor Evren Tezcan, Dalaman Mayor Sezer Durmuş, Republican People's Party Provincial and District Chairmen, representatives of the Sarıgerme Environmental Education Association (SARÇED), representatives of Non-Governmental Organizations, and citizens. Mayor Aras stated that the investments realized in cooperation with district municipalities will increase the quality of life of the citizens and that they will continue their work with a social municipality understanding.

New Living Spaces for Both Beloved Pets and Citizens in Ortaca

The program in Ortaca started with the groundbreaking ceremony of the Animal Shelter and Rehabilitation Center. Once completed, the center will offer a safe, modern, and healthy living space for stray animals and is aimed at meeting an important need in the region. Mayor Ahmet Aras and the accompanying delegation then inaugurated the Sarıgerme Social Living Area, completed in the Yerbelen Neighborhood. The social area, where children, young people, and families can come together and spend time, is intended to contribute to the daily life of the local community.

A new park opened in Dalaman, Kent Park Project introduced

In Dalaman, the inauguration of Erdoğan Karakuş Park, opened for the use of citizens, was held. The facility, previously operated by a private enterprise, was taken over by the Dalaman Municipality and reorganized after the lease agreement expired. The name of the late Erdoğan Karakuş, who served as mayor between 1991-1992 and made significant contributions to the development of Dalaman, will be commemorated in this park by a decision of the Municipal Council. The park will serve as a social meeting point where citizens can spend time with their families with an affordable service approach.

City Park Project Introduced in Dalaman

Within the scope of the program, the Dalaman City Park Project was also introduced. The project, to be implemented by Dalaman Municipality with the support of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, will be established on an area of 29,000 square meters. The City Park will include concert and event areas, bocce and curling courts, chess areas, cafes, library, women's handicraft stands, outdoor fitness areas, children's playgrounds, adventure track, skateboard and roller skating areas, electric traffic training park, electric train line, and walking paths. With the completion of the project, it is aimed to become one of Dalaman's important social life centers.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Animal Shelter and Rehabilitation Center and the opening of the Sarıgerme Social Living Area, Ortaca Mayor Evren Tezcan said, “With great support from our Metropolitan Municipality, we held the groundbreaking ceremony for our Animal Shelter. Subsequently, we are opening our second park in collaboration with SARÇED. In the Sakaraltı region; with an investment of approximately 3.4 billion TL covering Dalaman, Ortaca, and Köyceğiz, we are renewing the infrastructure and working to permanently solve the water problem.” Mayor Aras: “We Will Make the Region's Roads Comfortable with a Giant Investment of 545 Million” Stating that they will also carry out renewal and regulation works in the superstructure along with infrastructure works, Mayor Aras said in his speech, “Simultaneously with our infrastructure work, we are also carrying out superstructure works. We are implementing a road investment of 545,574,920 TL in total in Ortaca, Köyceğiz, and Dalaman. We handle the infrastructure and superstructure together; we evaluate our roads along with drinking water, rainwater, safety, transportation comfort, and quality of life.”
