Excitement in Fethiye on June 21: Countdown to the most colorful cultural night of the year

Preparations are underway for a night full of culture and art in Fethiye. About 150 students who have received training throughout the year from the Altın Güneş Culture Art Youth Association will perform at the folk dance gala to be held at the Amphitheater at 8:00 PM on Saturday, June 21. An invitation has been extended to all residents of Fethiye for the show that will bring the cultural riches of different regions to the stage.

Altın Güneş Culture Art Youth Association, which has attracted attention in Fethiye for many years with its work in the field of culture and art, will bring students who received education during the season to the stage at a grand gala night. The Association President, educator, and municipal council member Mehmet Uzunoğlu invited all citizens to the folk dance show to be held at the Amphitheater on Saturday, June 21, at 20:00.

Uzunoğlu, who stated that Altın Güneş Culture Art Youth Association, which has been operating since 2006, organizes important events not only on a local scale but also nationally and internationally, said that they have been bringing children together with festivals both domestically and abroad for years. Uzunoğlu, who also mentioned that they contribute to cultural interaction by inviting teams from different countries to Turkey, emphasized that they attach great importance to children growing up with cultural values.

Uzunoğlu, noting that many students from kindergarten to high school age receive folk dance training within the association, stated that the trainings teach folk dances not only from a single region but from different regions of Turkey. Thus, he expressed that children both get to know the cultural heritage and gain stage experience.

Uzunoğlu stated that seven different groups will perform at the gala program to be held this year and that approximately 150 students will appear in front of the audience after months of work. It was noted that folk dances from various regions of Turkey will be showcased in the performance and colorful scenes will be experienced. Uzunoğlu, who recalled that the Amphitheater, previously used in international festivals and various organizations, has a large audience capacity, said they expect citizens to show great interest in the event.
