Fethiye Fixed and Mobile Market Vendors and Greengrocers Chamber brought together protocol members, market vendors, and citizens at the Ashure offering program organized in honor of the month of Muharram. Chamber President Halil Ayat said they will continue to keep the tradition of sharing and solidarity alive.
A program for serving Ashura was organized by the Fethiye Chamber of Fixed and Mobile Market Vendors and Greengrocers on the occasion of the Month of Muharram. At the event held in the garden of Fethiye Anatolian High School, protocol members, market vendors, and citizens came together.
The program was attended by Fethiye Deputy Mayors Veli Uysal and Oğuz Bolelli, Seydikemer District Police Chief Turgut Beder, Fethiye Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FTSO) President Osman Çıralı, FTSO Assembly President Kemal Hıra, Fethiye Tradesmen and Craftsmen Chamber President Kamil Mutlu Demirtaş, along with many guests.
Speaking at the event, Halil Ayat, President of the Fethiye Fixed and Mobile Market Vendors and Greengrocers Chamber, stated that the Month of Muharram strengthens feelings of unity and solidarity, saying, “Today, as the Fethiye Fixed and Mobile Market Vendors and Greengrocers Chamber, we offered ashure. We offered ashure to all our tradesmen one by one. We also offered it to the public. We thank all the chambers, institutions, and presidents who contributed and helped. May Allah be pleased with them.”
After the speech, the protocol members proceeded to serve ashure. Ashure was distributed to the guests attending the program, market vendors, and citizens.

With the new regulation published in the Official Gazette, significant changes have been made to the norm staff system of municipalities. The regulation covering municipalities across Turkey also closely concerns the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality and its affiliated institutions. Director positions exceeding the norm staffing standards will be frozen, and when they become vacant, they will not be refilled and will be canceled by the decision of the municipal council.
TZOB General President Şemsi Bayraktar announced that 151 producers were affected by the forest fire in Seydikemer, and 2,128 decares of agricultural land and 45 houses were damaged.
In the Yanıklar Neighborhood of Fethiye district in Muğla, a fire in a 4x4 vehicle quickly spread to the forested area. Thanks to the rapid intervention of the fire brigade teams, the fire was brought under control before it grew, and cooling efforts with two helicopters continue in the area.
