Fethiye Municipality continues to support newborn babies and their families with the Welcome Baby Project implemented in line with its social municipal understanding. Reaching 2,391 families so far within the scope of the project, Fethiye Municipality continues to share the excitement of new lives while providing support to families.
Dünyaya gözlerini yeni açan bebeklerin mutluluğunu paylaşmak ve ailelere bu özel süreçte destek olmak amacıyla sürdürülen proje kapsamında, Fethiye’de ikamet eden ve yeni bebeği dünyaya gelen aileler evlerinde ziyaret ediliyor. Gerçekleştirilen ziyaretlerde, bebeklerin ilk ihtiyaçlarına yönelik ürünlerin yer aldığı Hoş Geldin Bebek çantaları ailelere ulaştırılıyor.
During the visits carried out by nurses working within the Social Services Directorate, Welcome Baby bags are delivered to families, and one-on-one meetings are also held with mothers and family members. Nurses provide information about newborn care, baby health, and basic care processes, answering families' questions and offering guidance on topics they need. In this respect, the Welcome Baby Project not only provides a support package but also contributes to establishing strong communication with families and supporting conscious parenting. Fethiye Municipality Social Services Director Ali Rıza Kıroğlu, commenting on the project, said, “With our Welcome Baby Project, we share the joy of our newborn babies with their families. With this work carried out under the understanding of social municipalism, we continue to be by the side of our families during these special moments. While contributing to our children having a healthy and safe start, we will continue to guide and support our families.”
Each visit not only shares the excitement of a new life but also strengthens the bonds of solidarity established with families. Fethiye Municipality continues to stand by families during the first steps children take into the world, as it has throughout every stage of life.
The ground, play groups, and sports areas in Üçkuyular Park have been renewed. A safer living space was created for children and citizens.
The 'Barrier-Free Market' project was launched by the Muğla Branch of the Turkish Association of Disabled People to support the economic and social participation of disabled individuals and their families.
With the new regulation published in the Official Gazette, significant changes have been made to the norm staff system of municipalities. The regulation covering municipalities across Turkey also closely concerns the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality and its affiliated institutions. Director positions exceeding the norm staffing standards will be frozen, and when they become vacant, they will not be refilled and will be canceled by the decision of the municipal council.
TZOB General President Şemsi Bayraktar announced that 151 producers were affected by the forest fire in Seydikemer, and 2,128 decares of agricultural land and 45 houses were damaged.
In the Yanıklar Neighborhood of Fethiye district in Muğla, a fire in a 4x4 vehicle quickly spread to the forested area. Thanks to the rapid intervention of the fire brigade teams, the fire was brought under control before it grew, and cooling efforts with two helicopters continue in the area.
