Green Crescent will organize the 13th Bicycle Tour in Muğla
They announced that they invited all citizens to the 13th Green Crescent Bicycle Tour to be held this year.
Green Crescent Muğla Branch President Abdullah Şenol Şengür stated that they continue their efforts in combating addictions and invited all citizens to the 13th Green Crescent Bicycle Tour to be held this year.
Şengür said in a statement that Green Crescent is a long-established civil society organization that has been fighting addictions since 1920, promoting healthy living, and aiming to reach all segments of society.
Expressing that as the Muğla Green Crescent Branch, they carry out education, seminars, social activities, and awareness-raising efforts throughout the year to raise awareness among children, youth, and families about the harms of addictions, Şengür noted that the Green Crescent Counseling Center (YEDAM), an important support mechanism in the fight against addiction, provides free services.
Şengür stated that YEDAM offers free and confidential psychological and social support services in the fields of alcohol, tobacco, substance, gambling, and internet addiction, and thanks to the support provided by expert psychologists and social workers, individuals and families struggling with addiction can receive professional help.
Emphasizing that they continue to support citizens in need in Muğla through YEDAM, Şengür said that those seeking support regarding addiction can call the 115 YEDAM Consultation Line to obtain information and make appointments.
Şengür stated that the Green Crescent Bicycle Tour, traditionally organized by the Turkish Green Crescent Society, will be held this year on Sunday, June 14, under the slogan "Let's Enjoy Health Together."
Noting that the event will be held simultaneously in 81 provinces across Turkey, Şengür said that the tour in Muğla will start at 10:00 AM in front of the Muğla Governor's Office, following the route of Recai Güreli Street, Mehmet Polatlıoğlu Street, Hasan Ercan Street, Aylin Karaca Junction, and Uğur Mumcu Boulevard, and end at Ortaköy Square.
Stating that the event aims to draw attention to the importance of a healthy lifestyle and encourage a culture of active living away from addictions, Şengür invited all citizens, athletes, cycling enthusiasts, and families to participate in the organization.
Şengür said that Green Crescent will continue its efforts determinedly to raise healthy generations free from addictions, and thanked the supportive public institutions, local administrations, volunteers, and media members.
