Muğlaspor President Kıyanç’s Stadium Statement
Muğlaspor President Menaf Kıyanç denied claims that Muğla Atatürk Stadium will not be ready for the new season's first home match. Kıyanç said that Bodrum District Stadium was reported to the Turkish Football Federation only for procedural and precautionary reasons.
It has started to be debated in the public which stadium Muğlaspor, competing in the Trendyol 1st League, will play its home games in the 2026-2027 season. It has been claimed that the usage permit for Muğla Atatürk Stadium has not been obtained yet, and that lighting and transformer works have not been completed.
Following rumors that if the deficiencies in the stadium are not resolved by mid-August, Muğlaspor may play their matches at Bodrum District Stadium, Club President Menaf Kıyanç made a statement.

There is no situation of not being ready for the first match
Pointing out that Bodrum District Stadium was reported to the TFF as an alternative field due to procedure, Kıyanç said that Muğla Atatürk Stadium was built in compliance with 1st League standards.
Kıyanç said, "Our stadium is actually new. It is a stadium built according to 1st League standards. Since we have a potential obligation to report a stadium, we notified the Bodrum Stadium to the TFF entirely for procedural and precautionary purposes. There's no situation of the field not being ready for the first match; actually, it must be ready."
We should now meet with our fans in our own stadium
Recalling that Muğlaspor played home matches in different stadiums over the last two seasons, Kıyanç emphasized that the green-white team now needs to compete in its own city and in front of its fans.
Kıyanç said, "I think it’s out of the question for Muğlaspor to no longer play in its own stadium in the league. It shouldn't be. We are tired of this issue. We played continuously in away matches for two seasons. I don't foresee such a problem happening anymore."

There is no deficiency caused by our club
Kıyanç stated that the works required at the stadium under TFF criteria are not due to the club and that the process regarding security cameras and e-ticket system is ongoing.
Kıyanç said, "There is no deficiency related to us. Only the TFF had security conditions related to cameras and security systems. We tried to solve this issue outside the club. There is a demand from the federation to clubs regarding the e-ticket system. Actually, it’s not something that binds clubs. The e-ticket system is related to the security system required by Law No. 6222."
Works can be completed within a week
Kıyanç stated that they applied to the TFF to establish the e-ticket and security system, and that the relevant company has prepared a work schedule.
Remembering that the first league match will be played on August 16, Kıyanç said, "We requested the federation a week in advance, provided the payment is made. The relevant company included it in their schedule. If we call them now, they will complete the work within a week. Our first league match is on August 16. We have 37 days ahead, which is a very long time. I think the stadium will be ready to host night matches within this period."

First week away match against Sarıyer
Evaluating the 2026-2027 season fixture, Kıyanç explained that they requested the TFF for the first match to be played away to allow completion of stadium works.
After the fixture draw, it was determined that Muğlaspor will play its first week away against Sarıyer. Kıyanç said, "We especially requested from the federation for Muğlaspor to play the first match away. As a result of the draw, we will play our first match away against Sarıyer. Hopefully, it will be favorable for Muğlaspor."
Muğlaspor will be permanent in the 1st League
Touching on Muğlaspor’s goals for the new season, Kıyanç emphasized his belief that the green-white team will be permanent in the Trendyol 1st League.
Kıyanç said, "We know that many clubs do not see Muğlaspor as permanent in this league. This does not upset us, rather it motivates us. Muğla is a province deserving championship and success in every field. Therefore, Muğlaspor will, God willing, be permanent in this league. We are continuing our efforts in this direction."
