Public ride held at "L'Etape by Tour de France" cycling festival
In Muğla's Marmaris district, the "Public Ride" was held as part of the events of "Visa Maximiles Black L'Etape Marmaris by Tour de France," the official amateur series of the world's most prestigious cycling race, Tour de France.
At 19 May Youth Square, with the start given by Marmaris District Youth and Sports Director Burak Üstündağ and L'Etape Turkey Organization Director Ömer Kafkas, cycling enthusiasts shared the excitement of the Tour de France with the ride.
The event, which was free of charge and hosted cycling enthusiasts of all ages, was also attended by Marmaris District Governor Nurullah Kaya, Muğla Provincial Youth and Sports Director Musa Kazım Açıkbaş, Marmaris Mayor Acar Ünlü, Turkey Cycling Federation Deputy President Fikret Hayali, Vice President Metin Cengiz, Board Member Dr. Kenan Güler, Marmaris Deputy Mayor Sedat Kırt, and L'Etape Series Strategy and Business Development Manager Mathieu Clanchin, who also pedaled on the course.
The ride, held on an approximately 6.6-kilometer family-friendly course, started from Atatürk Avenue and continued along Ulusal Egemenlik Avenue, Mustafa Kemal Pasha Boulevard, Yunus Nadi Avenue, and Kemal Seyfettin Elgin Boulevard, before finishing back at the starting point.
Meanwhile, it was announced that the Expo Area at 19 May Youth Square, which brings together athletes, their families, and visitors, will remain open for three days.
The area continues to welcome visitors with experience zones reflecting the spirit of Tour de France, interactive activities, stage shows, and stands of various brands.
The official race start of the Visa Maximiles Black L'Etape Marmaris by Tour de France will be given tomorrow.
