Altınordu, Fethiyespor’s Opponent, Decides Not to Participate in Nesine 2nd League!
Altınordu, which is in the same group as Fethiyespor in the Nesine 2nd League Red Group, announced that it has decided not to participate in the league in the 2026-2027 season. The İzmir representative stated that it withdrew from the professional leagues due to the lack of investors after a 14-year process.
Altınordu, one of Fethiyespor's rivals in the Nesine 2nd League Red Group for the 2026-2027 season, announced that it will not participate in the league in the new season. In a statement from the İzmir representative, it was noted that after the football branch was taken over in 2012, they created significant awareness in Turkish football as a nurturing club model during the 14-year process, but now they expressed that they can no longer sustain this structure.
In the club's statement, it was mentioned that the Altınordu Sports Club management searched for an investor to take over the club for a year but was unsuccessful, with the following words: "As Altınordu FK, we have decided not to participate in the Nesine 2nd League this season. Since we took over the football branch rights from Altınordu Sports Club in 2012, we have tried to represent the Altınordu emblem suitably for its name during these 14 years. We created significant awareness in Turkish football in the field of 'nurturing.' But now we are tired. Together with the Altınordu Sports Club management, who expressed that they cannot bear such a burden regarding the takeover, we looked for an investor who would carry the Altınordu emblem with dignity for a whole year. Unfortunately, we could not find one." The statement emphasized that despite the decision to withdraw from professional leagues, youth development efforts will continue, noting that player development for ages 7-15 will be focused on within the "Children of These Lands" project.
