Fethiyespor, which has started preparations for the new season, held its first training under the management of coach Sait Karafırtınalar.
In a statement to the press, Coach Sait Karafırtınalar said, ''Our goal is to be in the top 5 throughout the season. We want this with this squad structure. As long as we are in the top 5, we aim to make our rivals make mistakes and, if necessary, wait for them to lose points in order to rise to the top,'' he said.

Fethiyespor Coach Sait Karafırtınalar gave important messages before the first training of the new season. Stating that their goal is to be among the top 5 throughout the season, Sait Karafırtınalar said, "We want this with this squad structure. We will do our best and make the people of Fethiye happy together.
We are having our first training. May the new season be auspicious and successful for the entire community and the people of Fethiye. We have built a stronger squad compared to last season. I wish a good season for the community, the team, ourselves, the city, and the district. If you look at the squad formed compared to last year, it looks like a more ambitious team. Therefore, our responsibility is also greater. We want to reflect our best on the field and succeed together with the entire community," he said.

Answering the questions of the press, Sait Karafırtınalar also announced the pre-season camp program. The head coach stated that they will spend the first week with adaptation and physical training; young players will also be evaluated during this period. According to Fethiyespor's preparation program, the team will camp for 11 days in Afyon in the first week of August. After a short break, the second phase of the camp will continue again in Afyon. The navy blue-white team will return to Fethiye one week before the start of the league and continue preparations for the first match at their own facilities. Touching on the first match of the season, Karafırtınalar pointed out that their opponent is one of the strong teams making important investments and noted that the first weeks are always tough. Sait Karafırtınalar said, "The first matches are open to any result. Playing at home only becomes an advantage when you win. We want to use this advantage in the best possible way. By evaluating each match separately, we aim to reach our goal at the end of the season," he said.
