Citizens in Fethiye will pedal on June 3, World Bicycle Day

In Fethiye district of Muğla, led by the Fethiye City Council, the Safe Pedals Working Group established on June 3, 2025, announced that they will gather in front of the Fethiye Cultural Center at 17:45 tomorrow on World Bicycle Day and cycle to Çalış.

The statement published on social media read as follows:

“On June 3 World Bicycle Day, we come together to share the freedom and joy brought by two wheels and two pedals. Whether you are a professional cyclist or just pedal for fun on weekends; we want to see you among us on this meaningful day!

We meet on a wonderful route to raise awareness by using this environmentally friendly great transportation vehicle and to enjoy the city on the bicycle.”

In the announcement, citizens who want to participate in the bicycle ride were asked to bring their safety equipment, water bottles, and water, and it was stated:

“Why should you come? To reduce our carbon footprint and draw attention to environmental awareness, to catch the rhythm of a healthy life together, and for a wonderful sunset ride feeling the wind on our face.”

The announcement emphasized that the event is suitable for every age and every performance level and added, “Our pace will be entirely focused on an enjoyable ride.”

Also, it was stated that wearing a helmet is mandatory, and the announcement included the phrases, “Let’s pedal together for our own future and our planet. Grab your bike and join this enthusiasm!”
