The fugitive involved in the assassination attempt on Erdoğan on July 15 was caught
The Ministry of Interior announced that B.K., a member of FETÖ who attempted to assassinate President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on July 15, 2016, and who was wanted by a Red Notice, was caught in Afyonkarahisar.
In a statement from the Ministry of Interior, it was said, "B.K., a FETÖ member terrorist who was among the terrorists attempting to assassinate our President in Marmaris during the treacherous July 15 coup attempt and who has been wanted by a Red Notice for 10 years, was caught in Afyonkarahisar.
Coordinated by the Intelligence Department of the General Directorate of Security; as a result of joint work by the Intelligence Branch Directorates of Afyonkarahisar and Eskişehir Provincial Police Departments; the individual named B.K., a helicopter pilot dismissed as a captain serving in the special forces team involved in the assassination attempt in Marmaris district of Muğla targeting our esteemed President during the treacherous coup attempt by the FETÖ Armed Terrorist Organization on July 15, 2016, who was wanted by a Red Notice, was caught by the Afyonkarahisar TEM Branch Directorate teams."
