Young People from Fethiye Gain European Experience with Erasmus+

Fethiye Municipality Project Unit continues its efforts to increase the participation of young people in international projects. Within the scope of 5 different Erasmus+ projects carried out in the last two years, 42 young people participated in programs organized in various countries across Europe.

In the last two years, the Fethiye Municipality Project Unit has conducted not only international mobility activities but also awareness-raising efforts on Erasmus+ and European opportunities. Within this scope, hundreds of young people were informed about Erasmus+ programs, youth exchanges, training courses, and European Union projects through informational seminars held in schools, youth centers, and various events.

INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE IN FRANCE: "COLORS OF EUROPE" COMPLETED

The Fethiye Municipality Project Unit participated as the Turkish partner organization in the Erasmus+ Youth Dialogue Training Course project called "Colors of Europe," coordinated by an association in France and funded by the European Union.

The project, held in France from May 28 to June 5, was successfully completed. Six youth workers and young people, including Fethiye Municipality employee Yunus Emre Aşan, represented Turkey in the program. The program covered the participants' travel, meal, and accommodation expenses. Besides Turkey, youth workers from the host country France, as well as Denmark, Greece, Spain, and Romania, also took part in the project.

This program, held in France, one of Europe's significant youth and education centers, contributed to young people interacting with different cultures, developing international cooperation networks, and gaining experience at the European level.

GOAL TO REACH MORE YOUNG PEOPLE

The Erasmus+ projects conducted support the personal development of young people while also increasing Fethiye's international visibility. The experiences gained by young people in different countries positively reflect on local work and social participation.

The Fethiye Municipality Project Unit aims to increase participation in Erasmus+ projects within youth policies, develop new international partnerships, and enable more young people to benefit from these programs. Through project development and international cooperation efforts led by municipality employee Yunus Emre Aşan, new opportunities continue to be offered to young people.
