LGS Turkey Champion Yağız Ertekin Made Muğla Proud

In the 2026 High School Entrance System (LGS) exam, Yönelt College student Yağız Ertekin, who answered all questions correctly, made Muğla very proud by becoming one of Turkey's top scorers. Yönelt College General Manager Feridun Öztürk stated that the success was the result of the dedicated efforts of the student, teachers, and family.

Yönelt College, which has been continuing educational activities in Muğla since 1990, achieved significant success in the 2026 LGS. College student Yağız Ertekin scored full marks by correctly answering all the questions in the exam and ranked among Turkey’s top scorers.

"After a year, we produced a Turkey champion again"

Speaking after the success, Yönelt College General Manager Feridun Öztürk said that the school, established by teachers, has been contributing to Muğla’s educational life for 35 years.

Öztürk stated that the school had achieved various honors in Muğla and nationwide in previous years and said, "For 35 years, we have earned many firsts in Muğla and across Turkey. However, becoming Turkey champion again in the 2025-2026 academic year was a different source of pride for us. Bringing out a Turkey champion again after one year truly honored us."

Recalling that a total of 452 students across Turkey answered all questions correctly and became first in the 2026 LGS, Öztürk said that having Yağız Ertekin among these students brought great happiness to the Yönelt College family.

"Yağız became both Muğla’s and Turkey’s pride"

Öztürk emphasized that Yağız Ertekin’s success is important not only for the school but also for Muğla and expressed his belief that the student would achieve even greater successes in his educational life.

Öztürk said, "I thank first and foremost Yağız Ertekin, our school principal, teacher friends, and his valuable family who made us experience this happiness. I wish Yağız success in his future education. Hopefully, he will reach very good places and make significant contributions to our country and to us."

There is shared effort behind the success

The statement by the Yönelt College administration noted that the achievement should not be regarded merely as an exam success.

In addition to Yağız Ertekin’s determination and disciplined study, the dedication of teachers, guidance activities, and family-school cooperation played an important role in the success.

The school administration stated that along with academic work, importance is also given to the social, cultural, and emotional development of students and indicated that studies will continue with an individual follow-up system and student-centered education model.

Yağız Ertekin, who is among the LGS Turkey top scorers, also expressed great happiness for the result he achieved. Ertekin thanked his family and teachers who supported him during the exam preparation process.
