The Burhan Eşer Era Continues at Bodrum FK

Bodrum Football Club signed a new 2-year contract with technical manager Burhan Eşer. The signing ceremony held at Bodrum District Stadium was attended by Bodrum FK Vice President Selahattin Polat and technical manager Burhan Eşer.

The ceremony concluded with a commemorative photo and best wishes following the signing.

Polat: “We Want to Bring Bodrum FK Back to the Desired Level”

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Bodrum FK Vice President Selahattin Polat emphasized Burhan Eşer’s journey within the club and said they will start the new season with a different approach.

Polat stated, “Our coach, as you all know, transitioned from player to assistant coach and then head coach last year at Bodrum FK. He had a very good season. Of course, we initially signed a one-year contract with him. This year, we reached an agreement again, and he made every sacrifice. We signed a two-year contract with our coach.”

Polat noted that they will prepare strongly for the new season together with Burhan Eşer and said, “This year, we are starting a new season with a different mindset and understanding. As the management and shareholders, the four of us work hand in hand and shoulder to shoulder, and hopefully, we will bring Bodrum FK back to the desired level. We want to once again create a Super League atmosphere and allow the people of Bodrum to experience the Super League. We are making every effort for this. I thank our coach very much here in front of you.”

Eşer: “My Priority Is Always Bodrumspor”

Bodrum FK Technical Manager Burhan Eşer said they experienced a tough period last season but achieved important gains for the club's future.

Eşer stated, “Last year, we went through a difficult process, but at the end of the league, although we did not reach the desired Super League, we had a very valuable league journey. On that journey, we brought young players to the club who may save Bodrumspor's future for 4-5 years. All of them were players we knew and recognized. Hopefully, this journey will continue with these young players.”

Although he received offers from different teams after the season, Eşer emphasized that his priority is always Bodrumspor: “Despite getting offers from 4-5 different teams, my priority has always been Bodrumspor. Because I played here, served as team captain, and was part of championships. Bodrumspor is a different club for me. More than just a club, it is my team.”

Eşer said he waited to negotiate with Bodrumspor without discussing any transfer talks and added, “I told everyone that I would not negotiate with anyone without first negotiating with Bodrumspor. Because I knew we would continue here, under the Bodrumspor roof. We are here again to complete an unfinished story.”

Eşer noted the upcoming season will be challenging and called for support from fans and city stakeholders: “Hopefully, it will be a good season for all of us. We will strive to complete last year's unfinished story. This year, it will be a very tough league. We will need everyone in this difficult league. Especially our fans, the people of Bodrum, and local administrations. There are teams relegated from the Super League and promoted teams; very strong teams. But Bodrumspor is always a club aiming high. Since I know the culture of this club, it will be tough, but I hope this year will be good.”
