Erkan Taş won the championship at Beşpınar Oil Wrestling
In the 32nd Menteşe Beşpınar Oil Wrestling held this year in the Kavaklıdere district of Muğla, the champion was Erkan Taş.
486 wrestlers including 22 champions participated in the wrestling held at Yerkûpe Plateau in Menteşe Neighborhood in various categories.
Erkan Taş, the last Kırkpınar Champion, defeated his rival Ali Gürbüz in the final and became the champion.
Kavaklıdere Mayor Mehmet Demir said they were very pleased with the interest shown in the organization.
Demir, who stated that the excitement of the ancestral sport is experienced in Kavaklıdere, thanked all the wrestlers, those who contributed, and wrestling enthusiasts who help keep this sport alive.
