Winners Awarded at Beşkaza Chess Tournament
Athletes who ranked in the 1st Beşkaza Chess Tournament organized by Fethiye Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen received their awards in a ceremony.
In the award ceremony held, trophies and medals were presented to the athletes who ranked. The award ceremony held at Fethiye Tourism and Hospitality School social facilities was attended by Fethiye Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen President Kamil Mutlu Demirtaş, vice president Selahattin Dereli, board member Kamil Koparal, chess federation representatives, athletes, and their families.
The 1st Beşkaza Chess Tournament, organized for the first time this year by Fethiye Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen, ended with the award ceremony. In the tournament attended by 197 athletes, competitors competed in 4 different categories according to age groups.
In the under 8 age category of the tournament, Mustafa Soner Yapıcılar took first place, Erdem Utku Önal second, and Mert Kuran third. In the under 10 age category, Irmak Ahu Kasapoğlu secured first place, Sedat Doruk Türedi second, and Ali Eymen Yorulmaz took third place.
In the under 12 age category, Mete Ege Kuşkonmaz took first place, Yiğit Kılıç second, and Kemal Özden third. In the open category, Toprak Gelir was first, Deniz Aras Kılıç second, and Haludun Aksel third. Speaking before the award ceremony, Fethiye Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen President Kamil Mutlu Demirtaş said, “We have realized the Award Ceremony of the 1st Beşkaza Chess Tournament organized by the Fethiye Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen Presidency with great pride and happiness.
Our athletes competing in four different categories received appreciation for their perseverance, discipline, and sportsmanship displayed during the tournament. We rewarded our athletes who ranked by presenting them with trophies and medals to recognize their success. We sincerely congratulate and thank all of our athletes who participated in our tournament, their supportive families, referees, and everyone who contributed to the realization of the organization. We hope that this beautiful event, which contributes to the mental development of our youth and reinforces feelings of friendship and brotherhood, becomes a tradition; and we wish all our athletes success in their educational and sports lives.”
