Condolence message from Turkey for those who died in the earthquake in Japan
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended its condolences to the Japanese people for the loss of life in the earthquake that occurred in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan on July 28.
In a written statement from the Ministry, it was stated that it was learned with deep sorrow that there were many casualties in the earthquake in Kumamoto.
The statement extended condolences to the relatives of those who lost their lives in the earthquake and the Japanese people, and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
In the earthquake with a magnitude of 7.1 that occurred in Kumamoto on July 28, 36 people lost their lives.
The tremor, recorded at a depth of 10 kilometers, caused extensive damage throughout the prefecture, including fires, road and bridge collapses.
Search and rescue operations are ongoing in all debris areas in the prefecture.
